I need to give a farewell party?

our family is moving to another town and i have to remove my son from his kindergarten.the place is really nice,all teachers and students too so i just want to give a small farewell for my son to spent the last day memorable with all his buddies.i just dont know how i can do it,like should i take presents for all his friends and maybe a small cake.....grrr.....i have no idea cause people dont have these types of parties.plz help me!
