How do i fix my slightly wet phone?

i stupidly left a gl of water on the floor and my phone got knocked off the table and was on the floor when the gl was knocked over by the dog. i found the result, which was a wet patch on the carpet and a phone that won't turn on. it had a few droplets on the keys, screen and inside, but wasn't hardly wet at all. i plugged it into the charger as i knew it was low in battery anyway so thought it couldnt have just ran out of battery, and it did turn on but wasn't getting a signal. so i turned it off again after a while, and now it won't do anything. have i fried the circuit? ahh what a nightmare! is there anything i can do? i have tried hoovering it but no water came out at all.
